Nabila received her Masters in Physiotherapy from Leeds Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom. Prior to completing her Masters, she graduated with Honours from McMaster University, majoring in Kinesiology. Nabila has always had a passion for a career that allows her to interact with others in a positive environment; physiotherapy is a dream for her! Working as an orthopedic physiotherapist for the last few years, Nabila developed a special interest in pelvic floor rehabilitation, working with prenatal and postpartum women in particular. She pursued specialized training in pelvic rehabilitation through Pelvic Health Solutions, and has continued taking courses in pregnancy and pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic girdle pain, etc.
Using a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy, functional taping techniques, exercise prescription, and acupuncture, Nabila aims to help her clients manage and overcome the difficulties that pregnancy and labour present in women’s health. Nabila has experience assessing and treating conditions including, but not limited to, lower back and hip pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence, pelvic girdle pain, pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti and sexual pain.
Nabila uses evidence-based knowledge to guide her clinical reasoning and treatment techniques. Throughout her career, she has and continues to take part in courses that will help advance her understanding and treatment of her patients. She has completed her acupuncture licensing through APTEI.
Outside of work, Nabila is an active ball hockey and soccer player. She also enjoys hiking, yoga, and venturing through the city looking for the next great eat!
